My Thoughts on The UGREEN Nexode Power Bank

Hey guys! As mentioned on my Instagram the other day, I promised to post about the UGREEN Nexode 20000mAh 130W Fast Charging Power Bank this week.

I believe in technology, but do broaden my perspective if you will – technological adoption can only happen with good power. So here’s how the UGREEN flight-approved power bank can change that for you.

I’m not typically a power bank person. I’m more traditional and prefer bringing a plug and cable wherever I go. This isn’t without reason, as I used to buy power banks and found that most were either expensive or, if cheap, ended up being dead weight in my bag. Why would I add extra weight to my bag just for a little bit of charging power?

Receiving the UGREEN power bank and trying it out for a week broadened my view on the benefits of having a good power bank, and I’m just glad I got one. As I focus on work, which often involves being on the go, it’s important to conduct business online. Unfortunately, many places lack power outlets. It’s frustrating that while I work all over the island and around the clock, cafes and workspaces aren’t always accessible or open for use. Having this power bank marginally changes how I work.

I know, power banks aren’t new, but after so many bad experiences with them, I had lost touch with how far they’ve come in terms of capacity and design. For me, one of the selling points is the design. It embodies simplicity and modernity with its smooth edges and metallic finish.

The UGREEN Nexode Power Bank series includes two models, both of which feature automotive-grade lithium-ion power cells for higher energy density, resulting in more capacity within a compact size. Featuring 13-layer safety protection and the proprietary Thermal Guard™System, these power banks boast a longer charging lifespan and increased durability. Capable of delivering over 100W of power, they support multiple fast charging protocols and are compatible with thousands of devices, making them ideal for quick charging and providing emergency power for laptops on the go. The innovative column design ensures a comfortable grip and easy portability, fitting effortlessly into carry-on luggage.

As with any technological product, I’m obsessed with making sure it’s rugged and lasts as long as possible. So, I’m glad it came with a velvet pouch to protect the power bank in my bag. For its price point, I think it offers great value for money. I thought I might have been imagining things, but I asked my friends if $150 for a 25000mAh, 200W power bank is justifiable.

For a power bank that charges many compatible devices like laptops, tablets, phones, camping lanterns, cameras, watches, and earbuds – and that’s currently sold out on Lazada Singapore at the time of writing – what do you think of the price?

If you’re paying $150 for a power bank that charges your laptop, helping you be more productive throughout the day, let’s just call it an investment. Until then, if you’ve bought it, kindly share your thoughts!
