Have a Break, Have a Sip: My First Taste of KitKat Chocolate Drink

I’ve always associated KitKat with that tiny pause in the middle of a busy day. The familiar snap of the wafer, the chocolatey bite, and that little moment where everything slows down for a while. So, when I found out that KitKat now comes in the form of a chocolate drink, I was genuinely curious. Would it really taste like the KitKat I know and love, or would it be just another chocolate drink?

The KitKat Chocolate Drink is no ordinary chocolate drink. While its texture is smooth, creamy and chocolatey, its signature KitKat wafer notes that we know, and love offers a comforting, homely and indulgent experience in every sip.

“How do you like it?” my friend asked, watching me take another sip.

I laughed because I had gone quiet, the good kind. The kind where you are too busy enjoying what is in your cup to answer immediately. It reminds me of the quiet I experience in a class during snack time! The chocolate felt velvety on the tongue, not too heavy, and there was a nice balance between creamy sweetness and that slightly biscuity wafer finish.

I can imagine enjoying it in different ways too. Served hot, it would be cosy and soothing, especially on a rainy day when you want something sweet and warm in your hands. Or with ice, making it more refreshing especially on a hot day here. The versatile beverage is suitable for different occasions and preferences. Burger King, Nan Yang Dao, Kopitiam and Koufu are among the first to serve the KitKat Chocolate Drink making it accessible to all of us!

For hotels, cafes, offices and foodservice operators, I can see why this would be a practical addition too. KitKat is already such a familiar name, and the operator pack is designed to help busy teams serve something consistent and recognisable without making things too complicated behind the counter.

Beyond, the cocoa used in KitKat is sourced through the Nestlé Cocoa Plan, Nestlé’s global initiative to improve the lives of cocoa farmers and ensure responsibly sourced cocoa across its supply chain which supports more responsible cocoa sourcing and farming communities.

To me, the KitKat Chocolate Drink feels like a fun new way to enjoy a very familiar break. It is creamy, chocolatey, slightly nostalgic and easy to love especially if you already have a soft spot for KitKat.

I guess this gives “Have a break, have a KitKat” a whole new meaning; one sip at a time.
